I commissioned the work as a 'Double Concerto for Clarinet and Soprano, with Chamber Chorus, Brass, Strings, Piano, and Percussion. This unique genre features rare Japanese Tanka poetry set to music sung by the soprano soloist and chorus. The album also includes another work written for me by American composer Peter Hazzard. The work is called "Three Scenic Moods, opus 75" for Clarinet and Piano Quintet. The other works on the album (all composition students of John Bavicchi) include two Brass Quintets, by composers Kenji Kikuchi and Kenneth Pullig. Here is the Spotify link:
